नान्दीमुखोक्तश्राद्धांगं करिष्ये पिण्डदानकम् ॥ इति संकल्प्य दक्षादिसमारभ्योदकान्ति कम् ॥ ७१ ॥
I shall perform the shraddha ceremony mentioned by Nandimukha and offer the body. Having thus resolved, Daksha and others began to offer water to the Lord.

नव रेखाः समालिख्य प्रागग्रान्द्वादश क्रमात्॥ संस्तीर्य्य दर्भान्दक्षादिदेवादिस्थानपञ्चकम् ॥ ७२ ॥
Draw nine lines and twelve in order from the east end. Spread the darbha in the five places of Daksha and other devas.

तूष्णीं दद्यात्साक्षतोदं त्रिषु स्थानेषु च क्रमात्॥ स्थानेष्वन्येषु मातृषु मार्ज्जयन्तास्ततः परम् ॥ ७३॥
One should silently offer invisible water in three places in order. They then wiped the mothers in other places.

अत्रेति पितरः पश्चात्साक्षतोदं समर्च्य च ॥ दद्यात्ततः क्रमेणैव देवादिस्थानपञ्चके ॥ ७४ ॥
Afterwards the forefathers said 'Atre' and offered the invisible water Then one should offer them in order to the five places beginning with the devas.

तत्तद्देवादिनामानि चतुर्थ्यन्तान्युदीर्य्य च॥ पिण्डत्रयं ततो दद्यात्प्रत्येकं स्थानपञ्चके ॥ ७५ ॥
Uttering the fourth end of the names of the gods and others. Then one should offer three bodies in each of the five places.
