When Her unparalleled sacrifice (Yagya) reached its flawless completion, You appeared before Her disguised gracefully as a humble Brahmin (Dvija).

अतिथि जानी के गौरी सुखारी। बहुविधि सेवा करी तुम्हारी॥
Recognizing You as an honored guest (Atithi), Goddess Gauri rejoiced. She warmly performed numerous dedicated services and offered You great hospitality.

अति प्रसन्न हवै तुम वर दीन्हा। मातु पुत्र हित जो तप कीन्हा॥
Immensely pleased by Her devotion, You granted Her a boon, acknowledging the rigorous penance the Mother undertook for the sake of a child.

मिलहि पुत्र तुहि, बुद्धि विशाला। बिना गर्भ धारण यहि काला॥
You pronounced: ‘You shall instantly attain a son of vast intelligence, emerging exactly at this moment without the ordinary physical process of pregnancy.’

गणनायक गुण ज्ञान निधाना। पूजित प्रथम रूप भगवाना॥
Thus arrived the Leader of the Ganas, the ultimate treasure-house of virtues and supreme knowledge, taking the form of the first-worshipped Deity.
