इन्द्रा॒ नु पू॒षणा॑ व॒यं स॒ख्याय॑ स्व॒स्तये॑ । हु॒वेम॒ वाज॑सातये ॥ इन्द्रा नु पूषणा वयं सख्याय स्वस्तये । हुवेम वाजसातये ॥
We invoke you, Indra and Pūṣan, for your friendship, for our well-being, and for the obtaining of food.
english translation
सोम॑म॒न्य उपा॑सद॒त्पात॑वे च॒म्वो॑: सु॒तम् । क॒र॒म्भम॒न्य इ॑च्छति ॥ सोममन्य उपासदत्पातवे चम्वोः सुतम् । करम्भमन्य इच्छति ॥
One (of you) approaches to drink the Soma poured out into ladles, the other desires the buttered meal.
english translation
अ॒जा अ॒न्यस्य॒ वह्न॑यो॒ हरी॑ अ॒न्यस्य॒ सम्भृ॑ता । ताभ्यां॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ जिघ्नते ॥ अजा अन्यस्य वह्नयो हरी अन्यस्य सम्भृता । ताभ्यां वृत्राणि जिघ्नते ॥
Goats are the bearers of the one, two well-fed horses of the other, and with them he destroys his foes.
english translation
यदिन्द्रो॒ अन॑य॒द्रितो॑ म॒हीर॒पो वृष॑न्तमः । तत्र॑ पू॒षाभ॑व॒त्सचा॑ ॥ यदिन्द्रो अनयद्रितो महीरपो वृषन्तमः । तत्र पूषाभवत्सचा ॥
When the showerer Indra sends down the falling and mighty waters, there is Pūṣan along with him.
english translation
तां पू॒ष्णः सु॑म॒तिं व॒यं वृ॒क्षस्य॒ प्र व॒यामि॑व । इन्द्र॑स्य॒ चा र॑भामहे ॥ तां पूष्णः सुमतिं वयं वृक्षस्य प्र वयामिव । इन्द्रस्य चा रभामहे ॥
We depend upon the good-will of Pūṣan, and of Indra, as (we cling) to the branches of a tree.
