नक्षत्रगोचरम् रेखाह् सप्तसमालिखेदुपरिगास्तिर्यक्तथैव क्रमा- दीशादग्निभमादितोऽपि गणयेदादित्यभस्यावधि । वेधा जन्मादिने मृतिर्भयमथाधानाख्यनक्षत्रके कर्मण्यर्थविनाशं खलु रविर्दद्यात्सपापो मृतिम् ॥ २६॥
One should draw seven horizontal lines and seven vertical lines in sequence to create a grid for planetary transits through the lunar mansions (nakṣatragocara). Starting from the northeast, count the lunar mansions from the star Kṛttikā up to the one occupied by the Sun. If the Sun pierces the birth star (janmanakṣatra), it causes death; if the ādhāna star, it brings fear; and if the karman star, it results in the loss of wealth. Furthermore, if the Sun is accompanied by a malefic planet during such a piercing, it bestows certain death.

nakSatragocaram rekhAh saptasamAlikheduparigAstiryaktathaiva kramA- dIzAdagnibhamAdito'pi gaNayedAdityabhasyAvadhi । vedhA janmAdine mRtirbhayamathAdhAnAkhyanakSatrake karmaNyarthavinAzaM khalu ravirdadyAtsapApo mRtim ॥ 26॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं विद्धे खचरैः क्रररन्यैर्मरणम् । सौम्यैर्विद्धे न मृतिविद्यादेवं सकलम् ॥ २७॥
If any one of the three astorisms referred to above be thus marred by the occupation of other malelics (other than the Sun ), death may happen ; if by benefics, there will be no danger to life. Everything should be judged similarly.

evaM viddhe khacaraiH krararanyairmaraNam । saumyairviddhe na mRtividyAdevaM sakalam ॥ 27॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआधनकर्मर्क्षविपन्निजर्क्षे वैनाशिके प्रत्यरभे वधाख्ये पापग्रहो मृत्युभयं विदध्या द्वेधेतथा कार्यहरः शुभाख्ये ॥ २८॥
If the 19 th, 10 th, 3 rd, 1 st, the 23 rd, the 5 th or the 7 th (all reckoned from the Janmatara) are afflicted by malefics during their transit, there will be danger to life, But if the planet be benefic, failure in business will be the only result.

AdhanakarmarkSavipannijarkSe vainAzike pratyarabhe vadhAkhye pApagraho mRtyubhayaM vidadhyA dvedhetathA kAryaharaH zubhAkhye ॥ 28॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआदित्यसङ्क्रान्तिदिने ग्रहाणं प्रवेशने वा ग्रहणे च युद्धे । उल्कानिपाते च तथाद्भुते च जन्मत्रयं स्यान्मरणादिदुःखम् ॥ २९॥
The three asterism ( viz., Janma, Anujanma, Trijanma, 1 st, 10 th, and 19 th) falling on a day identical with the Sun's Sankramana (Sun's entry into a new Rasi) or at a time when any of the other planets transit from one Rasi to another, or when there is an eclipse, planetary war Grahayuddha or a fall of meteors (Ulkanipata) or other unexpected occurrence, death or a similar untoward event should be expected.

AdityasaGkrAntidine grahANaM pravezane vA grahaNe ca yuddhe । ulkAnipAte ca tathAdbhute ca janmatrayaM syAnmaraNAdiduHkham ॥ 29॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसत्फलः सौम्यनिरीक्षितो यः शुभप्रदश्चाप्यशुभेक्षितश्च । द्वौ निष्फलौ द्वावपि खेचरेन्द्रौ यः शत्रुणा स्वेन विलोकितश्च ॥ ३०॥
A planet yielding unfavourable result when aspected by a benefic, or the one that gives good resulls if aspected by a malefic, both become void of effect. The same will be the case if they are aspected by their respective inimical planets.

asatphalaH saumyanirIkSito yaH zubhapradazcApyazubhekSitazca । dvau niSphalau dvAvapi khecarendrau yaH zatruNA svena vilokitazca ॥ 30॥
