भावेश्वरेण प्रबलेन येन यद्यत्फलं हीनबलेन येन । यदानुभोक्तव्यमनन्यसम्यक्संसूचयिष्यत्यथ संग्रहेण ॥ १॥
What the effects are that are derivable from a planet which is strong and which owns a certain Bhava and what they will be when the lord is weak, and when they have actually to be experienced by the native all these are indicated briefly in this chaptar.

bhAvezvareNa prabalena yena yadyatphalaM hInabalena yena । yadAnubhoktavyamananyasamyaksaMsUcayiSyatyatha saMgraheNa ॥ 1॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्ने बलिष्ठे जगति प्रभुत्वं सुखस्थिति देहबलं सुवर्चः । उपर्युपर्यभ्युदयाभिवृद्धिं प्राप्नोति बालेन्दुवदेष जातः ॥ २॥
When the Lagna possesses maximum strength, the native will, during the Dasa of the loid of of the Lagna, rise to a place of eminence in the world, will be happily placed in life, will be physically strong, will have a brilliant appearance; and his prosperity will be on the increase as his life progresses just as the Moon's digits in the bright half of a month.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपाकेऽर्थनाथस्य कुटुम्बसिद्धिं सत्पुत्रिकाप्तिं सुखभोजनं च । प्राप्नोति वाग्जीविकया धनानि वक्ता सदुक्तिं सदसि प्रशस्ताम् ॥ ३॥
During the ripening of the Dasa of the lord of the 2 nd house, one ought to predict success or acquisition to family, acquisition of good daughters, good meals, earning money by lectures, eloquence in speech and the consequent approbation of the audience in the assembly.

pAke'rthanAthasya kuTumbasiddhiM satputrikAptiM sukhabhojanaM ca । prApnoti vAgjIvikayA dhanAni vaktA saduktiM sadasi prazastAm ॥ 3॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशौर्ये सवीर्ये सहजानुकूल्यं सण्तोषवातश्रिवणं च शौर्यम् । सेनापतित्वं लभतेऽभिमानं जनाश्रयं सद्गुणभाजनत्वम् ॥ ४॥
During the Dasa of a planet that is strong and owns the 3 rd house one ought to expect friendship with and help from brothers, hearing of agreeable news which please the mind, (opportunity for ) the exhibition of one's valour, leadership in an army, attainment of some honour, help from people and a praise by others of his various good qualities.

zaurye savIrye sahajAnukUlyaM saNtoSavAtazrivaNaM ca zauryam । senApatitvaM labhate'bhimAnaM janAzrayaM sadguNabhAjanatvam ॥ 4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबन्धूपकारं कृषकर्मसिद्धिं स्त्रीसङ्घमं वाहनलाभमेति । क्षेत्रं गृहं नूतनुमर्थसिद्धिं स्थानंप्रशस्तं च सुखेश्दाये ॥ ५॥
Help to relations, success in agriculture, friendship with females, acquisition of vehicles, new land, new house, wealth, higher status (promotion in one's appointment), all these may be expected during the ripening of the Dasa of the planet owning the 4 th house.
