यो योगो भगवद्बाणो निर्वाणात्मंस्त्वयोदितः। कीदृशः कति चाङ्गानि यतस्तत्त्वावबोधनम्॥1-16॥
O embodiment of nirvana! What is that yoga that You indicated, whose object is You? How and what are its limbs? Please tell me the yoga by which I will know the Reality.
english translation
तदेतन्मे विजानीहि यथाहं मन्दधीर्हरे। सुखं बुद्ध्येय दुर्बोधं योषा भवदनुग्रहात्॥1-17॥
O Hari! Do make me understand that difficult yoga such that I, a dull- witted woman, too, can easily understand it by your Grace.
english translation
श्रीभगवानुवाच देवानां गुणलिङ्गानामानुश्रविककर्मणाम्। सत्त्व एवैकमनसो वृत्तिः स्वाभाविकी तु या॥1-18॥
Sri Bhagavan said: Devotion is the single-pointed natural flow of thoughts along with senses by the guna-s and actions understood by the scriptures, towards the Lord who is purity itself.
english translation
अनिमित्ता भागवती भक्तिः सिद्धेर्गरीयसी। जरयत्याशु या कोशं निर्गीणमनलो यथा॥1-19॥
It is causeless, pertaining to the Lord, superior to all siddhi-s and destroys the covering of ignorance just as fire swallows all that is put in it.
english translation
नैकात्मतां मे स्पृहन्ति केचिन्मत्पादसेवाभिरता मदीहाः। येऽन्योन्यतो भागवताः प्रसज्य सभाजयन्ते मम पौरुषाणि॥1-20॥
Some devotees do not desire to become one with Me. They revel in serving My feet and doing activities for Me. They assemble together and enjoy My work.
