Charak Samhita
पलाशं कत्तृणं चैव स्नेहांश्च लवणानि च। उदावर्ते विबन्धेषु युञ्ज्यादास्थापनेषु च ॥१३॥
Palasha (Butea monosperma (Lam.) Taub.), Kuttrana (Cymbopogon citratus (DC) Stapf), Sneha (fat), and Lavana (salt) are the drugs to be selected for Asthapana( a variety of enema with decoction) in the event of udavarta (conditions caused by the inhibition of natural urges) and vibandha (constipation).
