पाषाणान् वोष्मणा तेन तत्स्थः स्विद्यति ना सुखम्। सुसंवृताङ्गः स्वभ्यक्तः स्नेहैरनिलनाशनैः ॥५८॥

Thereafter hot iron balls or stones should be put into the pitcher. The heat coming out of the pitcher helps in fomentation and this is termed as kumbhisweda.
