Brihat Jataka
आसन्नकेन्द्र भवनद्व यगैर्गदाख्यस्तन्वस्तगेषु शकटं विहग: खबन्ध्वो: ॥ शृं गाटकं नवमपञ्चमलग्नसंथैर्लग्नान्यगैर्हलमिति प्रवदन्ति तज्ज्ञा: ॥ १२-४ ॥
With them (the planets) situated in a pair of houses adjoined an angle, they are termed “Gada” (club) yoga. When those are situated in the 1st and 7th houses, it is Shakata (cart) yoga. When in the 10th and 4th houses, it is Vihaga (bird) yoga. With those situated in the 9th, 5th, and 1st house, it is Shringataka (a mountain having three peaks) yoga. With those situated in other than the 1st house, it is Hala (plough) yoga. Thus, those wise people say.
