कुजे तुङ्गोऽर्केन्द्वोर्द्धनुषि यमलग्ने च कुपति: पतिर्भु मेश्चान्य: र्क्षितिसुतविलग्ने सशशिनि ॥ सचन्द्रे सौरेऽस्ते सुरपतिगुरौ चापधरगे स्वतुङ्गस्थे भानावुदयमुपयाते क्षितिपति: ॥ ११-५ ॥
When Mars is in exaltation, when the Sun and Moon are in Sagittarius, and when in the lagna of Saturn there is a lord of the earth. There is a lord of the earth when the lagna is with Mars together with the Moon [with the Sun in Sagittarius and Mars exalted]. When Saturn is in the 7th with the Moon, when Jupiter is in Sagittarius, and when the Sun is situated in one’s own exaltation has arrived at the lagna; there is a lord of the earth.
