लेहयेत् क्षारमेवं वा सुरसैरण्डपत्रजम् । लिह्यात् त्र्यूषणचूर्णं वा पुराणगुडसर्पिषा ॥ १७१ ॥
or alkali alone of Ocimum sanctum, leaves of Ricinus communis should be licked, powder of Piper longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinale, old jaggery and ghee cures dysponea and cough.

पद्मकं त्रिफला व्योषं विडङ्गं देवदारु च । बला रास्ना च तच्चूर्णं समस्तं समशर्करम् ॥ १७२ ॥
Prunus cerasoides, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellirica and Emblica officinalis, Piper longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinale, Embelia ribes, Cedrus deodara, Sida cordifolia, Pluchea lanceolata – the powder of this added with equal quantity of sugar.

खादेन्मधुघृताभ्यां वा लिह्यात् कासहरं परम् । तद्वन्मरिचचूर्णं वा सघृतक्षौद्रशर्करम् ॥ १७३ ॥
This should be consumed or licked with honey and ghee. It is best for the cure of cough; similar is the powder of Piper nigrum, Ghee of Adhatoda vasica licked with ghee, honey and sugar.

पथ्याशुण्ठीघनगुडैर्गुटिकां धारयेन्मुखे । सर्वेषु श्वासकासेषु केवलं वा विभीतकम् ॥ १७४ ॥
Pill prepared from (Powder of) Terminalic chebula, Zingiber officinale, Cyperus rotundus, jaggery should be held in the mouth in all types of dyspnoea and cough; or Termninalia bellirica fruit only may be held in the mouth (and the saliva swallowed).

पत्रकल्कं घृतभृष्टं तिल्वकस्य सशर्करम् । पेया वोत्कारिका छर्दितृट्कासामातिसारजित् ॥ १७५ ॥
Paste of leaves of Viburnum nervosum – fried in ghee, and mixed with sugar, or thin gruel or pancake prepared from it cures vomiting, thirst, cough and diarrhea.
