एवं दृष्ट्वा ध्रुवे लाभे लाभ अंशे च गुण उदयम् । स्व अर्थ सिद्धि परो यायात् संहितः सामवायिकैः ॥

Thus, having taken into consideration the good aspects of a permanent gain or of a share in a permanent gain, should a king, desirous of strengthening himself, march combined with others.

english translation

evaM dRSTvA dhruve lAbhe lAbha aMze ca guNa udayam । sva artha siddhi paro yAyAt saMhitaH sAmavAyikaiH ॥
