ततस् तद् व्यञ्जनाः प्रमत्त वधम् अवस्कन्द प्रतिग्रहम् अभिप्रहरणं पृष्ठतः शङ्ख दुन्दुभि शब्देन वा "प्रविष्टम्" इत्य् आवेदयेयुः ॥
Then spies, disguised as priests, may announce to the enemy, blowing their conch shells and beating their drums, that a besieging army, eager to destroy all, and armed with weapons, is coming closely behind them.
english translation
tatas tad vyaJjanAH pramatta vadham avaskanda pratigraham abhipraharaNaM pRSThataH zaGkha dundubhi zabdena vA "praviSTam" ity AvedayeyuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्राकार द्वार अट्टालक दानम् अनीक भेदं घातं वा कुर्युः ॥
Then in the ensuing tumult, they may surrender the fort-gate and the towers of the fort to the army of the conqueror or disperse the enemy‟s army and bring about his fall.

prAkAra dvAra aTTAlaka dAnam anIka bhedaM ghAtaM vA kuryuH ॥

Or taking advantage of peace and friendship with the enemy, army and weapons may be collected inside the enemy's fort by spies disguised as merchants, caravans, processions leading a bride, merchants selling horses, peddlers trading in miscellaneous articles, purchasers or sellers of grains, and as ascetics.

sArtha gaNa vAsibhir AtivAhikaiH kanyA vAhikair azva paNya vyavahAribhir upakaraNa hArakair dhAnya kretR vikretRbhir vA pravrajita liGgibhir dUtaiz ca daNaD atinayanam, saMdhi karma vizvAsana artham ॥
