समुत्पन्ने दोषे शून्य पालं समाहर्तारं वा प्रकृति कोपेन घातयेयुः ॥
When the fault of the collector-general or of the officer in charge of the waste lands is widely known, the spies may cause the people to slay either of them.
english translation
samutpanne doSe zUnya pAlaM samAhartAraM vA prakRti kopena ghAtayeyuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत् कुलीनम् अपरुद्धं वा प्रतिपादयेयुः ॥
and employ in his place one of his family or one who is imprisoned.
english translation
tat kulInam aparuddhaM vA pratipAdayeyuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअन्तः पुर पुर द्वारं द्रव्य धान्य परिग्रहान् । दहेयुस् तांश् च हन्युर् वा ब्रूयुर् अस्य आर्त वादिनः ॥
Spreading the false news of the danger of the enemy, they (spies) may set fire to the harem, the gates of the town and the store-house of grains and other things, and slay the sentinels who are kept to guard them.
english translation
antaH pura pura dvAraM dravya dhAnya parigrahAn । daheyus tAMz ca hanyur vA brUyur asya Arta vAdinaH ॥
