तावद्विधिं तात दिदृक्षुरच्युतः कृपालुरस्मत्पतिपादपल्लवम् । निषिच्य बाष्पैरवदत्कृतांजलिर्यथा शिशुः स्वं पितरं कलाक्षरम् ६ ।
Meanwhile the sympathetic Acyuta desirous of saving Brahmā, shed tears over the lotus-like feet of our lord and said with palms joined in reverence just like a child lisping words of entreaty to its father.
english translation
tAvadvidhiM tAta didRkSuracyutaH kRpAlurasmatpatipAdapallavam । niSicya bASpairavadatkRtAMjaliryathA zizuH svaM pitaraM kalAkSaram 6 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअच्युत उवाच । त्वया प्रयत्नेन पुरा हि दत्तं यदस्य पंचाननमीशचिह्नम् । तस्मात्क्षमस्वाद्यमनुग्रहार्हं कुरु प्रसादं विधये ह्यमुष्मै ७ ।
Acyuta said: O Lord, it was you who gave him five heads॥ 1॥ as a special symbol, long ago. Hence please forgive him his first guilt. Please favour him.
english translation
acyuta uvAca । tvayA prayatnena purA hi dattaM yadasya paMcAnanamIzacihnam । tasmAtkSamasvAdyamanugrahArhaM kuru prasAdaM vidhaye hyamuSmai 7 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्यर्थितोऽच्युतेनेशस्तुष्टः सुरगणांगणे । निवर्तयामास तदा भैरवं ब्रह्मदंडतः ८ ।
The lord thus requested by Acyuta relented and in the presence of all devas asked Bhairava to desist from punishing Brahmā.
english translation
ityarthito'cyutenezastuSTaH suragaNAMgaNe । nivartayAmAsa tadA bhairavaM brahmadaMDataH 8 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथाह देवः कितवं विधिं विगतकंधरम् । ब्रह्मंस्त्वमर्हणाकांक्षी शठमीशत्वमास्थितः ९ ।
Then the lord turned to the deceitful Brahmā who bent down his neck and said “O Brahmā, in order to extort honour from the people you assumed the role of the lord in a roguish manner.

athAha devaH kitavaM vidhiM vigatakaMdharam । brahmaMstvamarhaNAkAMkSI zaThamIzatvamAsthitaH 9 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनातस्ते सत्कृतिर्लोके भूयात्स्थानोत्सवादिकम् । ब्रह्मोवच । स्वामिन्प्रसीदाद्य महाविभूते मन्ये वरं वरद मे शिरसः प्रमोक्षम् 1-8-१० ।
Hence you shall not be honoured, nor shall you have your own temple or festival. Brahmā said: O Lord, be pleased. O flourishing one, I consider this sparing of my head itself a great blessing and a boon.
english translation
nAtaste satkRtirloke bhUyAtsthAnotsavAdikam । brahmovaca । svAminprasIdAdya mahAvibhUte manye varaM varada me zirasaH pramokSam 1-8-10 ।
