अनेनैव स्वदेहेन रुद्र लोके महीयते । पापहं सर्वमर्त्यानां दर्शनात्स्पर्शनादपि २१ ।

He is honoured in Rudraloka with this body alone. His body dispels the sins of every man by mere sight or touch.

जीवन्मुक्तः स वैज्ञानी शिव एव न संशयः । तस्य दर्शनमात्रेण भुक्तिर्मुक्तिश्च जायते २२ ।

He is a living liberated soul, he is wise, he is Śiva, there is no doubt. A mere sight of him accords enjoyment of worldly pleasures and salvation.

jIvanmuktaH sa vaijJAnI ziva eva na saMzayaH | tasya darzanamAtreNa bhuktirmuktizca jAyate 22 |

शिवं यः पूजयेन्नित्यं कृत्वा लिंगं तु पार्थिवम् । यावज्जीवनपर्यंतं स याति शिवमन्दिरम् २३ ।

He who worships the earthen phallic emblem of Śiva every day stays in Śivaloka for so many years of Śiva, as he had been visiting Śiva’s temple in his life.

मृडेनाप्रमितान्वर्षाञ्छिवलोकेहि तिष्ठति । सकामः पुनरागत्य राजेन्द्रो भारते भवेत् २४ ।

If he had any wish he would be reborn in the land of Bharata as a sovereign monarch.

निष्कामः पूजयेन्नित्यं पार्थिवंलिंगमुत्तमम् । शिवलोके सदा तिष्ठेत्ततः सायुज्यमाप्नुयात् २५ ।

If a man without any desire worships every day the excellent earthen phallic image, he shall stay in Śiva’s region for ever. He shall attain the Sāyujya type of salvation.

Verses 26-30
