इति चिंताकुलं चित्तं जायते सततं हि नः । परोपकारसदृशो नास्ति धर्मो परः खलु ३६ ।
Hence our minds are always agitated. Indeed there is no virtue equal to helping others.
english translation
iti ciMtAkulaM cittaM jAyate satataM hi naH । paropakArasadRzo nAsti dharmo paraH khalu 36 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलघूपायेन येनैषां भवेत्सद्योघनाशनम् । सर्व्वसिद्धान्तवित्त्वं हि कृपया तद्वदाधुना ३७ ।
Since thou art conversant with the essentials of all tenets, please tell us the easiest remedy for the immediate destruction of the sins of these people.
english translation
laghUpAyena yenaiSAM bhavetsadyoghanAzanam । sarvvasiddhAntavittvaM hi kRpayA tadvadAdhunA 37 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्यास उवाच । इत्याकर्ण्य वचस्तेषां मुनीनां भावितात्मनाम् । मनसा शंकरं स्मृत्वा सूतः प्रोवाच तान्मुनीन् ३८ ।
Vyāsa said: On hearing these words of the sages of sanctified souls Sūta thought of Śiva and told them thus.

vyAsa uvAca । ityAkarNya vacasteSAM munInAM bhAvitAtmanAm । manasA zaMkaraM smRtvA sUtaH provAca tAnmunIn 38 ।
