केशश्मश्रुनखानेव कर्म्मावधि विसृज्य च॥ समाष्टकेशान्विधिवत्कारयित्वा विधानतः॥ ८१॥
Leaving behind his hair, mustache and nails until the end of his actions. Having done the eight hairs in accordance with the rituals.
english translation
kezazmazrunakhAneva karmmAvadhi visRjya ca॥ samASTakezAnvidhivatkArayitvA vidhAnataH॥ 81॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्नात्वा धौतपटश्शुद्धो द्विराचम्याथ वाग्यतः ॥ भस्म संधार्य्य विधिना कृत्वा पुण्याहवाचनम्॥ ८२॥
He shall take bath and wear a washed and dried cloth. He shall be pure in thought and body. Silently he shall perform Ācamana twice and apply ashes duly and perform the Puṇyāhavācana.
english translation
snAtvA dhautapaTazzuddho dvirAcamyAtha vAgyataH ॥ bhasma saMdhAryya vidhinA kRtvA puNyAhavAcanam॥ 82॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेन संप्रोक्ष्य संप्राप्य शुद्धदेहस्वभावतः ॥ होमद्रव्यार्थमाचार्य्य दक्षिणार्थं विहाय च ॥ ८३ ॥
Except the materials for the homa and the articles of gift for the preceptor—because they are naturally pure, every other article shall be sprinkled with holy water.
english translation
tena saMprokSya saMprApya zuddhadehasvabhAvataH ॥ homadravyArthamAcAryya dakSiNArthaM vihAya ca ॥ 83 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptद्रव्यजातं महेशाय द्विजेभ्यश्च विशेषतः ॥ भक्तेभ्यश्च प्रदायाथ शिवाय गुरुरूपिणे ॥ ८४॥
He shall make gift to brahmins especially to devotees and to Śiva in the form of preceptor.
english translation
dravyajAtaM mahezAya dvijebhyazca vizeSataH ॥ bhaktebhyazca pradAyAtha zivAya gururUpiNe ॥ 84॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवस्त्रादि दक्षिणां दत्त्वा प्रणम्य भुवि दण्डवत् ॥ दोरकौपीनवसनं दण्डाच्च क्षालितम्भुवि ॥ ८५ ॥
He gave them clothes and other gifts and bowed down on the ground like a rod The arms, the cape and the clothes were washed off the ground from the staff.

vastrAdi dakSiNAM dattvA praNamya bhuvi daNDavat ॥ dorakaupInavasanaM daNDAcca kSAlitambhuvi ॥ 85 ॥
