श्रोतव्यः परमेशान इति कृत्वा विनिश्चिताः ॥ परस्परं चिन्तयन्तः परं भावं महेशितु ॥ ४१ ॥
They decided that the Supreme Lord should be heard. Thinking of each other, they felt the ultimate feeling, O great Lord.
english translation
अज्ञातवन्त एवैते वयं तस्माद्भवान्प्रभो ॥ छेत्तुमर्हति तान्सर्वान्संशयानल्पचेतसाम् ॥ ४२ ॥
We are the ones who do not know you, therefore, O Lord. He should cut off all those who are of little doubt.
english translation
त्वदन्यः संशयस्यास्यच्छेत्ता न हि जगत्त्रये ॥ तस्मादपारगंभीरव्यामोहाब्धौ निमज्जतः ॥ ४३॥
There is no one in the three worlds who can cut the mouth of doubt other than you Therefore he plunged into the ocean of delusion beyond depth.
english translation
तारयस्व शिवज्ञानपोतेनास्मान्दयानिधे॥ शिवसद्भक्तितत्त्वार्थं ज्ञातुं श्रद्धालवो वयम् ॥ ४४ ॥
Save us by the boat of knowledge of Lord Siva, O treasure of mercy. We are faithful to know the true meaning of true devotion to Lord Śiva.

एवमभ्यर्थितस्त मुनिभिर्वेदपारगैः ॥ सर्ववेदार्थविन्मुख्यः शुकतातो महामुनिः ॥ वेदान्तसारसर्वस्वं प्रणवं परमेश्वरम् ॥ ४५ ॥
Thus requested by the sages well versed in the Vedas The great sage Shukatata was the chief knower of the meaning of all the Vedas The essence of Vedanta is all-pervading and the oṁkāra is the Supreme Lord.
