The lord of the 8th from Atmakaraka as also the planet who occupies that house becomes Brahma.

विवादे बली ॥
Between the, two planets the lord of the 8th from Atmakaraka and the planet who joi ns the 8th, the stronger of the two becomes Brahma.

ब्रह्मणोयावन्माहेश्वरर्क्षदशान्तमायु ॥
The longevity extends through the Rasis commencing from Brahma and counting up to the Rasi containing Maheswara .

तत्रापिमहेश्वरभावेश त्रिकोणाब्दे ॥
The period of death must be determined thus, Maheswara will be in a sign. Take the Dasa of this Rasi, take the lord of 8th house from Maheswara. Take the Trikonas from him, viz., 1, 5and 9. Predict death in the Antardasa of any one of these Dasas which is strong enough to inflict death.

स्वकर्म चित्तरिपुरोगनाथप्राणिमाकः ॥
The strongest among the lords of 3, 6,12 and 8 from the Atmakaraka will inflict death.
