a paste of Glycyrrhiza glabra, Anethum graveolens, Callicarpa macrophylla, Randia dumetorum and Cyperus rotundus is mixed with the decoction, is administered as enema along with Guda (molasses), honey and ghee this cures fever.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपिष्ट्वा क्षीरं जलं सर्पिस्तैलं चैकत्र साधितम् । ज्वरेऽनुवासनं दद्याद्यथास्नेहं यथामलम् ॥ १२४ ॥
the above herbs are made into paste and mixed with milk, water, ghee and (sesame) oil and administered as oil enema. The fat for this enema is selected as per the aggravated Dosha.

Basti Prayoga: Enema therapy in fevers : Even the enema recipes which will be described in the Siddhisthana (chapter 4 of Kalpasiddhisthana) also cure fevers. Nasya Prayoga: Nasal medication In chronic fevers Virechana Nasya (purifictory nasal medication) should be administered, this will relieve headache and feeling of heaviness of the head, mitigates Kapha and improves strength of sense organs and enhances taste.
