Manusmriti
वसीत चर्म चीरं वा सायं स्नायात् प्रगे तथा । जटाश्च बिभृयान्नित्यं श्मश्रुलोमनखानि च ॥ ६ ॥
Let him wear a skin or a tattered garment; let him bathe in the evening or in the morning; and let him always wear (his hair in) braids, the hair on his body, his beard, and his nails (being unclipped).
english translation
vasIta carma cIraM vA sAyaM snAyAt prage tathA । jaTAzca bibhRyAnnityaM zmazrulomanakhAni ca ॥ 6 ॥
